Construction UpdateThe parking lot is closing this week at The Avenue District Site 1 at 1211 St. Clair Ave. in preparation for foundation work this spring.
Also this week, the framing has begun on the Site 3 townhomes located at Rockwell Avenue and the newly created East 15th Street.
The Avenue District Featured in Sun Newspapers Real Estate SectionZaremba and The Avenue District were featured in an article that ran in all of the Sun Newspapers, Thursday, April 19. The article, written by Sun News real estate reporter Linda Chojnacki, highlighted the region’s top 2007 residential new construction opportunities for home buyers.
The article stated, "The big news for Cleveland was Zaremba's dynamic downtown residential, retail and commercial project, The Avenue District."
Mandy Barney, director of sales and marketing for Zaremba, was quoted:
"Downtown Cleveland is on the verge of a historical revitalization and Zaremba is pioneering the for-sale housing market with our most ambitious project to date. The $250 million project is currently in the first phase of development…Homes on Rockwell are scheduled for completion this fall, and homes on East 12th will be completed in the fall of 2008."
Barney added, "Downtown is attracting young professionals and empty nesters who enjoy a more vibrant lifestyle close to amenities such as the arts, fine dining and entertainment."
Barney was also quoted in another April 19 article written by Chojnacki on the best reasons to buy a new home. Said Barney, "Buyers like being able to choose all of their own interior finishes rather than remodeling when they move in."
