Welcome to The Avenue District, Cleveland's exciting new downtown neighborhood. Nowhere else in Cleveland does the excitement of the city come together in such spectacular fashion. The Avenue District is defined by East 9 th Street to the west, E. 17 th Street to the east, Playhouse Square to the South, and Lake Erie to the north. First and foremost, the neighborhood is full of people. A resident of The Avenue District only needs to walk 5 minutes- just ¼ mile from their front door- to experience a remarkable array of neighborhood amenities. Head south to Playhouse Square, or wander around in the college atmosphere of Cleveland State University to the east. Looking for some open space? The historic public mall, designed by famed architect Daniel Burnham provides a wonderful place in the summertime for movies and outdoor events. Or, head north to the lakefront to visit the Rock Hall, Science Center, Cleveland Browns Stadium or stay close to home and picnic on The Avenue District's green rooftop park.
